ORIGIN & IDENTITY.
GrumbleTank is a Terra-class Motor Mutant evolved from a 6×6 Extreme Recovery Hauler and a rhinoceros. GrumbleTank is not a rhino wearing truck armor and not a recovery truck with a rhino head attached. It is one unified biomechanical racing organism whose 6×6 Extreme Recovery Hauler platform forms the complete mechanical skeleton, while rhinoceros anatomy determines its stance, armored posture, shock-delivery behavior, defensive temperament, and crushing ground-control movement.
WHEN THE GROUND GAVE WAY.
Garage Guild reconstruction places GrumbleTank's Mutation Moment inside Ironbreak Basin during a catastrophic terrain collapse. A 6×6 Extreme Recovery Hauler was operating inside the failing corridor when a rhinoceros became trapped within the same collapse zone. A deep-ground Helion compression surge moved through the terrain. The hauler braced against the shifting load while the rhinoceros drove forward against the obstruction. For a critical moment, two different systems were solving the same problem: find traction, resist the load, drive forward. Helion synchronization followed. Exactly what occurred during that transformation remains only partially understood. What emerged from the collapse was no longer rhinoceros or recovery machine. It was GrumbleTank.

GrumbleTank is a Terra-class Motor Mutant evolved from the shared movement logic of a rhinoceros and an extreme recovery machine. Both solve resistance by planting force into the ground. The rhinoceros contributes mass, armored determination, powerful footing, and decisive forward commitment. The recovery hauler contributes six-wheel traction, load distribution, mechanical leverage, suspension articulation, and controlled pulling force. Together, GrumbleTank does not simply survive resistance. GrumbleTank uses resistance.

GrumbleTank inherits more than the rhinoceros's mass. His instinct is to establish footing, assess resistance, and commit overwhelming force only when necessary. He is calm when the situation is stable, deliberate when pressure rises, and extraordinarily difficult to redirect once committed.

GrumbleTank's mechanical architecture is not designed simply to carry enormous weight. It is designed to control enormous loads. Six driven wheels create continuous terrain contact. Heavy-duty articulated suspension keeps those wheels working across broken surfaces. Low-speed torque provides controlled pulling force. Recovery systems turn traction into leverage, and the entire chassis distributes forces that would overwhelm lighter machines. The rhinoceros horn grows directly through the reinforced recovery prow, transferring frontal loads into the chassis, suspension, and six-wheel traction system.

HOW GRUMBLETANK MOVES.
GrumbleTank races through control. He establishes traction before committing force, absorbs disruption through his massive structure, and advances deliberately through terrain that causes less stable Mutants to surrender position. His speed is not the threat. His position is. Once GrumbleTank establishes control over critical ground, moving him becomes a problem the rest of the field has to solve.

GrumbleTank is stoic, disciplined, and intensely protective. He rarely wastes energy responding to minor disturbances. When another Mutant loses footing, a route begins to collapse, or something under his protection is threatened, his behavior changes. He plants. Assesses the load. And commits. Garage Guild handlers have learned that GrumbleTank responds best to racers who remain composed under pressure. He does not need constant commands. He needs a reason to move.
RESONANCE // GROUNDING
GrumbleTank's strongest Racer–Mutant alignment comes through certainty. A panicked racer creates unnecessary corrections. An impatient racer asks GrumbleTank to abandon advantages he has already established. But a racer who understands the terrain, chooses the position, and commits to the decision gives GrumbleTank something powerful: a point to hold. At peak Grounding, racer and Mutant begin treating terrain, load, and movement as one connected system.

WHEN EVERYTHING ELSE MOVES, GRUMBLETANK HOLDS.
Under extreme Helion alignment, GrumbleTank's Bedrock Core intensifies. All six tires load. Suspension compresses. The Recovery Horn Assembly locks into the chassis. Torque moves through the entire biomechanical system. GrumbleTank becomes more than an anchor—he becomes a recovery point. During Ignition, that structural force can preserve his position and pull a displaced ally back toward safety.

GrumbleTank frequently establishes full six-wheel traction before attempting high-load movement, even when immediate acceleration appears possible.
Under severe terrain resistance, his first response is typically increased structural loading rather than increased speed.
GrumbleTank has repeatedly redirected recovery effort toward displaced allied Mutants before securing his own fastest route.
Once he identifies a position as critical, attempts to redirect him without a clear environmental reason show significantly reduced Racer–Mutant alignment.
Guild crews have learned that apparent inactivity should not be mistaken for hesitation. GrumbleTank is usually measuring the ground.
RACE GRUMBLETANK.
Character identity becomes race identity here. The same instincts, engineering architecture, faction expression, and tradeoffs described in the dossier become the way this Mutant plays.
While GrumbleTank occupies an Objective Site, the first attempt to displace it each turn fails.
During Ignition, GrumbleTank may pull one displaced allied Mutant one lane toward its position.
